Staying here while exploring the vibrant attractions of Oaxaca was a unique experience. The location was fantastic, just a short walk to the zocalo and close to local markets like Mercado Benito Juarez. I loved how spacious and clean the room felt after a day of wandering through art galleries and street vendors. The local food scene was a highlight, especially enjoying the delicious churros right across the street. It made for a delightful way to unwind after my daily adventures.

I spent three nights at Hotel Aurora in a Double Room with Two Double Beds. The room felt spacious and clean, offering a comfortable retreat after long days of exploring the vibrant local culture. I especially liked the tranquil restaurant area, perfect for unwinding and enjoying a meal. The staff were incredibly warm, providing helpful recommendations on local eateries like doña Betty's for breakfast, a true delight! The hotel is located just a short walk from the zócalo, making it easy to immerse myself in the market's charm. One downside was the outdated decor, which could use a refresh. Plus, there were no elevators, so lugging my suitcase up the stairs was a bit of a workout. Nevertheless, the overall experience was enjoyable, especially with the tasty churros right across the street.

Perfect spot, just a hop from the zocalo. Brenda and Nayeli were like family, super helpful. I chowed down on breakfast from doña Betty—best way to start the day! Could've used a pool to cool off, though. Stairs were a trek with luggage. And those churros across the street? To die for!

Clean, neat rooms ready with a pitcher of drinking water. Comfortable quiet space, even during a chaotic time in the city.
No pool, spa, or fitness room. The outdated decor in the room may not appeal to everyone, and drilling noise during the day disrupted rest. Stairs can be troublesome for lugging bags up, and the hotel keys often got mixed up, raising security concerns.

The decor could use a bit of a facelift—did someone say 'Grandma's attic'? Just don't expect a pool for a refreshing dip after your explorations!

The hotel is in a prime location, just a short walk to the main plaza and vibrant local markets, making it easy to explore the area. The staff provided exceptional assistance, sharing excellent dining recommendations, including nearby vendors serving delicious homemade sweets. However, the absence of a pool and the need for some decor updates detracted from the overall experience. Despite being a bit hard to navigate with luggage due to the stairs, the charming atmosphere and rich local history made for an enjoyable stay.
